metalzone distortion pedal
I got an old used one as a throw in when i bought a guitar of some guy, it worked fine for a while, but stopped the other day. Has this happened to people before? Will a pedal just die when its time comes, or is there something i can do to fix it.

Why don't you try changing the battery!

haha, that would be the most common problem yeah
if it's not the battery it can be the jack connections or either the button that changes on/off mode (if you get the battery out you'll see this black button under the moving part of the pedal) just turn the black knob and open the pedal, you'll see the battery and the button. that's all that can be broken I guess, and the electronics but it's hard to break boss pedals man. first check if the indicator light works... if it doesn't, it isn't getting any power.

maybe the cable is broken or something, that would suck, adaptors are pretty expensive

My MT-2`s survived some nasty falls so I think it`s rather tough.
You could have used too high voltage and roasted it (
so just open it and check if it smells...
Anyway, you can try to find its plan and check circuits - good luck :P

The same thing happened to my DOD Deathmetal Pedal, it also went thru a lot of abuse. There's something wrong with the circuit baord. Probably a capicitor, resistor or an amplifier needs to be replaced. I don't have a muitimeter to figure out the problem. So when I get the money, I'm going to get a new pedal. I also don't use batteries, I use the AC adapter.

don't ya have guarantee on the adapter?
or pedal?
Maybe you can bring it back to the store, you bought. And ask them, to take a look at it.
