Two nameless songs
Wrote out two sets of lyrics tonight while in video. I'm guessing it'd be ok to post both in one thread?
They're a little messy I admit, but I think there better than anything else I've written. I tried not to write in the same verse-chorus-verse formula that I usually do and I tried something different.
FIRST SONG;
You can run if you want
Fill that hole with empty dreams
Of a reality you fear
Night after night in euphoria
Ending with a feeling of absence
This solitary life is a shell
You cannot allow an intimate link to another
You dwell in a perverse world of false desire
To escape from companionship with another
An addiction to flesh is a mask

To commit to one being
Are you afraid of a fire
Too much for you to control
Would the sins of the patriarch
Be repeated by the legacy
Is your dis-connective trait
A preventative motion?
Die alone if you need
Drown in the shallow existence

At the time of cessation

For in Hell awaits
Nothing but the same
Abyss you've been falling in

SECOND SONG;
Get lost in the blaze
Where no one can find you
To destroy you
Ascend to the sky

Be forewarned, though
Damnation awaits
Your temptation grows
You'll crawl for more
Your knees will chafe
Scar, and score
The seduction will twist
And make you a mockery
Others will see a hypocrisy
