Never got to respond to posts about me smoking because my internet went down the same day.




Started smoking Marlboro menthols, liked them. Bought some newports. Liked them at first, but they started giving me headaches afterwards. My friend's mom let me try these one cigarettes I don't remember the brand name though, but they tasted good, and they burned real slow. So slow, it almost went out a few times.

Tried some Marlboro regulars. Nasty shit.

Camel Signature Blend menthols. REAL GOOD.

Marlboro Smooths. liked it.

Asked a lady at a gas station what kind of non-menthols she would recommend besides marlboro. Recommended Camel Filters. Wasn't too bad.

Money has been coming real well the last couple of weeks. Got a raise and will soon be able to get another one. I'm working in three different apartments; GM, Front End, and Video. New Union contract got voted in, and in it it says I get health insurance as long as I put in an average of 20 hours a week, and I don't have to pay any fees until, like, 2009 or something. I also might be moving in a house with my friend in about a year.

As far as my health goes; I know I'm causing more harm to my health. Here's the thing; I don't care. Why I don't care I don't know. To be honest, smoking kinda peps me up. Works kinda like caffeine; wakes me up, keeps me up better.

And the smell; People make it out to be like some poisonous gas that smells like shit and indian food in a used diaper...... well, they're right about it being poisonous. I like the smell. It's raw, yet smooth. It's crisp, yet laid back. It's like me. Dunno how. IF people don't like the smell, It's their problem. They can walk away. I don't like the smell of weed, so I don't smoke it, and I don't bellyache about it; I walk away.

it was my general assumption that metal is usually the music of someone who plays an instrument. And that person tries to play the sounds they like. Different in the way that rap or pop is, in that the fan involvement is a tighter bond between the person and the music.

Some people, like myself, love music but have no intention of making music. There is already so much great music in this world- not all of it metal. So I'm busy finding music, rather than trying to imitate or create a new sound. My friend however, writes music, and I will play bass for him when he decides to record. In that case I don't consider myself a musician at all. I don't write the music, all I do is learn the song, play it once, and move on.

i just don't write shit really..i have done simple shit in the past, and sometimes i'll come up with a cool riff...jot it down, then forget the timing.

mainly i just figure songs out by ear, or if they are too hard, find a tab and play along for fun. my focus is just on improving, not necessarily being in a band. i have been in some bullshit garage bands, but not in a long time. basstendencies, some old roommates and i were gonna start up a band. problem was the same thing as most bands i've worked with..practice consisted of 5-10 minutes of playing around on the guitar/bass, then it starts becoming more of a drinking session. so we never really got too much done.

another thing for me and writing is that my playing ability has long since left my writing ability in the dust. sometimes i'll sit down to write something...get fed up, then just start playing some harder shit. while i can play fairly well..not the best, but not the worst for sure..i generally don't know a lot of the technical details of the guitar such as whole chords, scales, etc.

I've been having kind of a music block. Mostly been helping my friend out with his song. I am rewriting my cover of Grant Them Eternal Rest, this time with the guitars in C rather than E. Oh, and I also wrote out a cover for the DOOM theme.

It is called "hunting", but you don't really "hunt" for anything but a place to puke after drinking too much in one-hundred degree heat. It's really just sitting on your fat ass till a bird comes to you.

It's easier if you're in front of a piano. That way you can play the notes and determine what quality it is. Intervals are easy, but Trying to figure out if it's diminished, augmented, major, or minor is hard at first.

I'm forming a new band with some people at work. We're probably just gonna jam for a while, but we're hoping to make something out of it. It'd be pretty sweet since my bands not doing much except what it has been for the past 4 years; writing music.


Been cleaning up around here. Haven't gotten to the garage; need to move stuff from there into the house, but can't do that because our house is still filled with junk. So we've been throwing stuff away.

On top of that, we need to close the pool, so I've been vaccuming all this dead algae and dirt off the bottom. Been fun. Can't say I ain't got nothing to do.
