man let me say that I definitly made the right choice by going with this pickup. This pickup blows alot of others out the water. It suppose to be like an active pickup but with out that shitty compressed sound. and let me tell you that they are fucking hot ass hell. I had read some reviews saying that this pickup didnt have very good harmonics. well that is false because the harmonics jump out of the guitar. I love adding pinch harmonics where ever i can and this pick up does just that for me. I recommend any ono wanting a death/black/thrash guitar this pickup is it.

thats what I replaced. I loved the JB too but I felt I needed more in my pickup these are really good they have that attack that an 81 has butsounds a 1000 times better

Cool, I'm really thinking about picking one up for the bridge position in 1 of my guitars that just has a paf pro in the bridge, moving it up to the neck.
Do you know what the EQ curve is on the pickup and how much output it has in mV?

Im not excatly sure what you mean by the EQ curve but the treb rating is 6.5 the mid is 6 and the bass is 6 the output is 470 hope that helps

oh and no they are not bright they are very chuncky but it depends on the guitars body wood though because they are pasive
