I've never heard anything quite like these guys. They are a German viking metal band. Sound similar to Equilibrium, Finntroll, Falchion, Mithoty, etc.

listening again. i love all the guitar leads/riffs. hmm, that repetative accordian melody kind of bothers me. i really cant explain why. and i have to agree with the MA reviewer, about it not being all that memorable. i could lie and say i think its spectacular, amazing and perfect, but the truth is i dont think so. i still think there are high hopes, and id probably like some other songs, more than this one.

They have a pretty shitty logo... Not that it effects the music, but still. Folk/Viking metal bands need cool logos.

I am bitching about one of the bloviating, derivative and massively homoerotic bands that you no doubt would like to spray with your watery man-gruel.

You see, I consider them to be very, very boring indeed and a symptom of something that is wrong with metal in general.

Now that you have turned my barely-amusing and entirely disposable post into a bone of contention, I would like to hear your considered opinion on why this music justifies more than a modicum of attention.

This band is a bit similar to Falchion, in the fact they are fast and folk-metal, but Falchion, are vastly superior though. The band actually pissed me off at some points. The medleys should have been left out, I found them to be ridiculous. They had decent riffs at some points, but one thing I felt as I listened more and more, was that the vocals were getting progressively worse. To top it all off, I can't remember anything about the song except the annoying accordion, and the vocals. Either I have a horrible memory or the particular song I listened to wasn't impacting at all. I'll give it another listen later, but I have little faith.

I don't have any hatred towards folk metal, I do have problems with bands that perform rip-offs of music you hear in pepsi commercials. In anycase, I don't know if you've ever listened to them, but I recommend Vintersorg to anyone who likes folk metal.
