Hi.

Ive been teaching myself Acoustic guitar for past year or so... but am mad to learn electric guitar.

Where should I start ... Power chords ????... or is there something else I should try first.

Dos any one know of good bands song for a beginer on Electric guitar.

Depends on what you want to learn. I wanted to learn Metallica style metal back in the day. So I jumped right in and learned their easier tunes. It was slow at first, but I learned an aweful lot very quickly. This should be easier for you since you have been playing acoustic for a year. I find this way of approaching things far more interesting than practicing scales and chords. You will learn them along the way.

Anywho, if you want to learn Metallica, learn Seek and Destroy. This was the first one I could play all the way through (NOT the solos though). For Whom the Bell Tolls is also wicked easy. And there are no solos in it.

Fade to black isn't the most difficult song to learn either. Even the solo in that is quite easy.

Even if there are bits and pieces of certian tunes that you want to learn, then learn those also. You don't need to learn the whole song.

You should list some of your favorite bands, and if I am familiar with their music, I will suggest some of their easier music to try.

greenday songs. I shit you not! They are easier to play than a drunken cheerleader at a fratparty. I know they suck and are boring, but they get your fingers movin, and your muscle memory workin.

Black Sabbath songs are all easy and fun to play; even the solos are all easy enough to learn early on.

Hahaha, a trained dolphin could learn white stripe songs,and they dont even own fingers.
ACDC uses basically the same chords throughout every one of their songs
Rolling stones suck. No offence to your taste in music, just IMO, they blow.
And nirvana is on the same lines as white stripes.
You shouldn't have any trouble learning songs for bands like these (excluding metallica, by the sounds of it, you haven't been playing for over a year).
Just look at the tabs and play, with bands like these, you'll be pleasantly surprised on how easy they are
