Dreams of Drinking Deepest Dark
Outstretched luminous fingers
grasp toward a twinkling goblet
stretching through layers
before unknown to life
calm, in serene isolation
the first visitor plows beyond
towards other unfound stars
Desination grinding close,
celestia shivers with anticipation
the illuminated hand grasps
and the lips meet to the cold
untouched rim of the outermost.
black euphoria permeates
eyes widen as celestia flees
jets from from every pore
flesh dissipates to nonbeing
the fibers of the soul are stretched
eternal blackest night robs
of any sight with which to guide
abandoned, struck dumb
another dream proven wrong
can anyone guess what theis is about? i'll give you a hint, the goblet is figurative.

Most revealing hint, JOAM'.
But! Although I can't possibly tell what it is about, the language and imagery in this is amazing! Cosmic, absolutely cosmic. Very Meshuggah-esque neologism, "nonbeing".

After a second momentary glance, it looks like a very cosmic metaphor for reaching out for human's reaching out into the universe, into science, to discover new sensations; alien sensations.
When they find them and partake of them, they are destroyed by them.
Brilliant even if I'm wrong.
I like how it seems very kinda astral, something that might have kinda body or physical existence (as opposed to metaphorical) during astral projection.
ADD-ON: I found something which I liked. You talk about a goblet as being a kinda central thing, or a destination. And let's assume, boglets are 'closed' objects, very contained spaces. Then you talk about "the rim of the outermost", and well, outer things are kinda global spaces, spaces which surround; are on the outside. It makes you think well the being sounds like it is in the goblet, in a paradoxical sense. Although, for me, it is a kind of confirmer. I liked that when I saw that, made me smile.
Really is a great piece. Well done.

thank you guys.
oK well unanything was probably the closest anyone will ever get.
mankind tries finding the end of the universe, the border, the "outermost rim".
and goes beyond the light of stars, and is destroyed by the abyss.
i really had fun with the concept for this one

This idea did cross my mind. You did say it was figurative, at least the goblet was, and the goblet is the object, which kinda led me to assume that most of it was figurative.
Interesting... Reminds me of when we did asymptotes in Math's and Special Relativity in Physics, I had the idea of finding out what happens to the mass in your body beyond the speed of light and me and a mate set out doing the workings. But instead, we ended up proving (taking the formulae we used as axioms or statements we assumed to be true, I remember vaguely our Physics teacher saying something about shifty masses not being the case) that travel beyond the speed of light is impossible.

huh, wow, im not there yet. im a sophomore in highschool.
that sounds pretty complicated but it's cool that you found that out.
also disappointing, i mean it's 4 years to alpha centauri by the speed of light, but still, it would be 4 years well spent getting there

Yeah, I wanna explore this idea at uni', which I start in about 5 weeks. I had some new ideas for it last night, but of course, it's taking the relativistic mass equation as an axiom, which only scratches the surface of relativity. It is possible to travel faster, but you have to jump the asymptote of infinite mass at the speed of light, and then leave this dimension. I think to jump the asymptote too, you'd need to have another dimension which you can tap all your velocity into. Like into a place where the speed of light is higher. The stuff I worked out last night implied or backed up that there is a strong relationship between space and mass, which I think was the point of some parts of relativity. Crazy stuff, I am getting more excited the more I talk about it.

a lot of the vocab is way over my head, but the stuff that im working out: is AWESOME!!!
imagine, putting 100,000 people on a new SOLAR SYSTEM.
is it possible to leave this dimension?

I dunno, but from the graph, it looks it. The line kinda leaves one and appears in another.

I reread it and read the comments. Leave it to unanything to get into it. lol That doesn't surprise me in the least.
With all the cosmic stuff happening lately it was a pretty cool piece to see in that light. You guys are way beyond me, but I do enjoy seeing your ideas.
