I'm starting to learn some classical on bass so I thought I'd start with the basics, does anyone know where I could find a tab that's like this version of Fur Elise? I want to learn how to tap it.

i think i made a thread about this not long ago, but personally i would stray from mozart, go learn bach if you want to learn classical tunes, then move on to any other composer you are drawn to. If you need to learn fur elise though just figure it out, its an easy enough tune. I figured it out in a little under 20 minutes.

True, the notes aren't that hard to figure out. But the tapping part is more difficult to figure out. Does anyone know of any good sites with classical tabs for bass?

alot of sites have not been allowed permission by the artists to use classical pieces in tab. Check out bassbooks.com though for a book called classical masterpieces for bass I or II. Great book

i dont know how i missed this thread. i went to a site called www.bassbooks.com , and found a book called "classical masterpieces for the electric bass". its a great learning tool, and it was a cool introduction for me into classical music.

he tapping part is more difficult to figure out. very very difficult.

Playing bass in classical is so nice.

Try having a look at Stu Hamm's version of 'Moonlight Sonata' its not too hard, but not too easy, there is a few videos of him performing it as a part of his bass solo at a joe satriani gig, have a look for it, and give it a shot, there is a tab for it floating about if you cant work it out.
