esp ltd b series????

i hate to make a new topic but i didnt find any reviews about esp ltd basses

well my band mate wants to buy a bass in the range of 300$
so i did some searching and came up with esp ltd b154
but having no experience with basses i am unable to decide
anyway the specs are

ESP LTD B-154 Electric Bass Guitar Rs.17,100

bolt-on construction
34' scale
agathis body w/flamed maple top
maple neck
rosewood fingerboard
dot inlays w/model name at 12th fret
ESP SB-4 pickups
volume and balance controls
ESP ABQ-2 active EQ
black hardware
ESP DB-4 bridge
24 XJ frets

is this worth the money

he doesnt know what hes talking about, i own an esp and they are great instruments if you are looking for a cheap bass. Dont buy a fender or peavey unless you want to pay big bucks.

I do know what I'm talking about, cunt.

I've seen countless times where some kid goes and buys these shit low end esp's and within a week they're buzzing at the 7th fret and the neck is warped to shit...

it even happened a few months back with that one 'farewelltokings" douche bought one against everyone telling him not to.

I'm not sure what model we're talking about, but my friend bought a 250€ ESP 'beginner' bass six months ago or so.. and I thought it slayed for the price, wanted me to get one, but would have had to upgrade the pick-ups

Well, it's not like a $300 dollar bass will be spectacular anyways. At least it has active controls. But I think their are some Ibanez basses for a pretty good price. Too bad jackson isn't real into basses.... A JS30 Bass would be cool as shit.

doesnt matter how good of a "deal" you're getting if it's unplayable in a month...

any 300$ bass i have played gets somewhat crappy in a month or so it doesn't matter what brand you buy. My esp has lasted me a long time (3 years or so) and i am just now considering buying a new bass.

Those low end ESP's are pretty decent bangs for the buck. Any buzzing issues can be worked out with truss rod adjustments. Cheap bass necks will much sooner go out of adjustment than warp so I wouldnt worry about that. That last warped neck I saw was on a 70's jazz bass, neck construction on lower end basses is pretty good these days. And if all else fails, buy it new so you have a warranty.

imo avoid all esp/ltd bass unless planning to buy the top end model

for me the wood in the bass matters alot.esp puts agathis.period.
i think you should go for a decent priced ibanez.get the pickups changed if you want.
