Recording + Mics
I'm still having a lot of difficulty getting a decent sound using my current setup, so I was wondering what peoples experiences with mics was like. Currently my sound is very thin and fizzy, with little or no bass. I've tried all different things, including Amp EQ settings, triple and quad tracking, post-EQ and none of it sounds any good. I'm using a Palmer DI box by the way. So I was thinking of swapping to a dual mic setup, maybe 2 x SM57's, as I've heard a lot of good amateur recordings done with this. How easy is it to achieve a good sound with this? I concede defeat to Soeru as he originally recommended the SM57 route but due to space limitations I ignored him and went with the DI instead James
