Samba Briza
I was wondering if anyone could tell me of any other artists or bands that play the same style of jazz that is played in the song "samba briza" by Athiest

Amazing song indeed.
To be quite honest with you, I think it was elevator music. :P

well just stop by your local jazz section at the record store and look for latin album names, and artists and give it a try. I love that style of jazz as well.

It's not very Latin.....I mean, it has a distinct taste of it, but it's not as Latin as you could get. It seems like your average smooth-jazz.

It has Afro-Cuban percussion and the piano lines just scream salsa. The only jazzy thing about it is the guitar solo to me.

Rather off topic, but if you like Atheist's more trippy synth/jazzy kinda stuff I highly suggest Nocturnus and Pestilence's last album Spheres. Assuming you don't listen to Cynic already.
