Dean ML question

i want a new guitar that says 'play me, i'm metal'....but i'm picky and cant really find what i'm looking for in my price range. i would like to have a rhoads type guitar with a neckthru, or set neck for 750...but that isnt happening...so dean MLs are attracting me..

i'm just wodnering if their necks are compound radius necks? theri website makes the guitars look pretty, but thats abou tit. doesn give any measuerments or anything.

and yes, i know of ibanez's warrior type guitar. i like ibanez necks, but dont exactly like the stuff they make. dont want a super strat, and up until recently, they've only made strats(excluding their gax line)...

so help?

I like em Ive played a bunch of different versions. the scale is 24 3/4 and 22 frets the pick ups are ok but for the price and quality of the 79 version you can always up grade so models come duncans and emgs and dimarzios no on the compound fret board but it is still fast as hell about the same thickness of a jackson

when you say thick as a jackson neck do you mean a RR3 neck or a different jackson guitar? the reason i ask is because my local store has only ever had a rhoads

I'm pretty sure most jacksons have the same neck.

Thats not true at all.

My Performer Series PS-2 had a much slimmer neck than my X Series KX10D did. I know of other people who have said similar about different models.

yeah jackson have a little different necks for different series but the rr3 is a pro model i believe and the deans are just slighty and I mean the slighty thicker not very noticable than any of the jackson pro models.

If you were wanting a neck-thru rhoads, keep an eye out for an older RR-PRO. They were essentially a USA spec rhoads that was built in Japan in the early '90s. Also, they can be had in the 700 usd range. The only hard thing to do is find them.
