although now that i have 2 expensive "pro" guitars i think i'm done with electric buying for now. I'm gonna concentrate on more recording gear, and MAYBE one day an acoustic...

I think he's confusing it with heretic, and thinks you are one because you don't exclusively listen to metal..... which is really stupid because with that logic, every great metal musician is considered a "metal heretic" for looking to other brands of music for influence and understanding. probably more like fusion than pure jazz influence. the drummer on epitaph cites alot of fusion drummers who are constantly confused as jazz guys
jazz is more of an approach than a distinct genre. the ethos of constant impovisation by all members. metal bands are very structure orientated, precision. necrophagist has about the cleanest phrasings at the most complex level ive heard for metal...........very un-jazzlike because it isnt spontanious, songs are not re-interpreted each time they are played......metal is much more similiar to fusion<home of the keytar> because both are rock orientated, structure orientated.

Man there is no way Death is considered progressive in my concepts. People call Death and Quo Vadis progressive but what do you call Rush and Dream Theater. You can't called Death progressive death metal because that is Opeth's genre and they are not even similar. Maybe progressive is an ambiguous term.

But think about it; if we recognize both as states of the union, then we don't have a big problem with the illegal aliens coming in from Mexico, and we can take the crap-forms of currency both countries have and replace it with our own. Plus, we can get two more stars on the pretty flag.
