i dont know which one to get. i will not be using it live and i dont need a foot pedal. so are the extra effects and amp modulators on the xt live worth the extra price? im going to buy one or the other on ebay. thanks

Haha well I think you just answered your own question there. XT should be fine.

im not sure if the xt has everything the live does so go to the line6 website and download the manuals for both the podxt and xt live so you can get a good understanding of what all the cab and amp along with effects simulate. I own the xt live and for $399 on musiciansfriend.com you cant beat the price.

hey guys i ended up getting a "toneport" off craigslist for $30 and im loving it.

heres my settings..

1990 brit j-800
4x12 1978 brit celestion t-75s
+ a little cavernous reverb, digital delay, and the "Screamer" setting

I may have to buy a tubescreamer now for my blue voodoo.

man this is the best 30 bucks i ever spent. now if i could only get the metronome and player to work..
