I'm looking at getting a new sound card for recording bedroom hits. Its been ages since Ive looked in the market - so I have no idea??.

Looking at spending $300-$400AU.

I wouldnt mind something with a breakout/external box to save me f$$king about down the back of the PC all the time - and I'm using Cubase if thats any help.

Currently using a Hoontech DSP24V - well using it for years and I reckon its ready for retirement.
