If you hate them, why do you want them?

I know if you download the album that it will almost always include the bonus tracks but I can't share where I get my music from.

It's because in Japan, non-japanese CD's costs much more. So that's why they put bonustracks there.

Often I find 'bonus track' discs here in Australia. I know it's not THAT far from Japan geographically, but it's a completely different market.
I never understood this shit. Anyone got a clue?

Don't really understand what that extra bonustrack is going to help in the sales in Japan, either you want the cd or you dont want it. That bonus song is just a bonus, but nothing more.
I like bonustracks, at least if its a new song and not some remix or live version of a song that is already on the album.
Judas Priest has reissued their albums, on every album there some new good songs. Personally I never buy an album just for a new bonustrack thats stupid, but maybe here in Belgium they dont promote it that much. A cd with or without bonustracks it seems like it all pretty much costs the same, for example: in one store I found Painkiller for like 9 euros without those bonustracks and in the other store it was for the cd painkiller with bonustracks also 9 euros so...

It's not really an extra incentive to buy it, it's more like an extra little gift for buying the album at such high costs.

Stop by Sound It Out Records downtown off of Front Street, I "work" there when I'm not at my real job.
