Nice, although I always thought the Framus sounded awesome on FYG. Did you use the Mako on the new album?

Read the Mako website about the first head they have there. And in the upper left corner i see a lil text that says....
"Manufactured to Military specifications"
What the fuck is that supposed to mean? haha

It refers to internal spec tolerances and materials used.

i have a question for you ihave27frets.. these companies, do they give you free gear? or is the endorsement more of a discount.. they give you shit cheap, and they get to say you're down with them? which is it?
i hope you're not insulted when i say that the absence is not exactly a household name.. so i'm curious as to whether caparison, framus, mako, etc are just handing shit over to you, or if there is more to it. i am pretty cynical, so i imagine that even muhammed suicmez is paying something for his ibanez gear.. it has nothing to do with individual talent, just the genre you guys are involved in.. metal, whether it be melodic, death, whatever.. it's metal, so it's "not economically viable" to borrow from one of my favorite films, Falling Down

means its entirely hardwired, point to point, with solder joints (no eyelets ie. no globby shitty solder), all pots and stuff like that is chassis mounted, and the tube sockets are ceramic (and chassis mounted). Basically, its everything that you want in an amp, no corners are cut. Built like a tank, like the military
Too many companies mount their tube sockets and pots right to a circuit board and not the chassis which stresses the fuck out of the solder joints (which is the reason marshall tsl's break down ) Hell, companies use CIRCUIT BOARDS! Thats bad enough in itself!

No insult taken. It depends on the band and the company, Its different with every company some you get things at cost, some below cost and some just stright up free.
It all depends on what you can offer them as far as full time touring, national releases and video and magazine coverage because this is "product placment", its pretty much you promote for them and they help you out...that all it breaks down to.
I personally try to work with companies I actually like and believe in, rather than use some crap gear that was free and try to smile when people ask you about it, it just seems wrong to me. Ive been lucky thus far getting all the companies Ive actually wanted to play.
