The situation continually compounds making the choice both easier and harder by the moment. Easier such as this course is completely voluntary and there isn't too much my unit can do except to accept that i dont' want to be here. All i have to do is say i dont' want to be here and they go thank you for coming out we will have your orders set, and boom i'm gone. I think its worth an ass chewing for it. What i won't do is throw the pft for it. I'm convinced i will stay at least till monday, go out kick ass on that pft. I will try my best to pass it with no problems (keeping my moral fiber) then telling them i can't stay here.

If my unit can't understand how important this is to me, then well there is nothing i can say but i'm really sorry for making a poor choice in going. In deciding to come (outside of my friends funeral) i'm possibly giving up my job back home, 3 shows with my band, (that i helped book), and the chance of seriously injurying myself which could restrict my possibilities in going back to OCS next summer.

I definitely made a poor choice in coming here, but it sounded good at the time.

Btw everyone i appreciate your support, this is without a doubt the biggest curve ball that has happened in my life yet. Definitely an insight on how i feel, is i could definitely say the same as everyone. The "i can't imagine what it would feel like to lose somebody close", i can definitely attest, it's something i can't even comprehend, and definitely expect me to write a song here soon inspired from these events. More melodic, more meaningful, and better lyrics than the stuff i've come up with recently. And i guess i will have to hold off on producing hte cd just a little longer so i can make this song.

And 2nd, Marine Corps bootcamp is without a doubt 100 times worse than that movie attempts to portray, but for different reasons. Yeah they don't punch you in the gut or try to strangle you but honestly that gunny doesn't intimidate me, if anything hes motivating.

We actualy watched the first part of the movie while in bootcamp. (i had already seen it before) but after seeing it then when we left i was like that was the lamest thing i've ever seen. Drill instructors are much more intimidating.

I'm thinking about (at some point in time not neccesarily now) getting a tattoo to remember my friend. He was big on tattoos. Tattoos that he generally drew himself as well. I think it would be an appropriate thing to do, and a good tattoo idea.

so the other day my friend tells me, and our other friend, that he saw a "video" of the karate kid playing some crazy guitar shit. i thought "cool, who knew that dude even played anything." anyway, we were drinking a few nights ago, and he said to look it up on youtube. i did. a few seconds in, i told him "dude, this is hollywood"..."its not really him playing". after a minute or so, of him disagreeing, and me repeating the same thing, he realized, with the help of our other friend, jumping in. then, he goes and tells us that he saw a video of them, in the STUDIO, playing the same stuff. honestly, without even looking it up, i called bullshit. so he starts getting all offensive, and i say "this studio video, your talking about, doesnt exist. and i dont even have to look it up to know." then he really gets pissed and hostile saying "so youre calling me a fucking liar". and i just say "im not calling you anything, but you didnt see a studio vid of them." hostility grows, with him, as i tell him to just go ahead and look it up then, all the while hes starting to blurt shit like "fuck you. asshole. etc." at this point hes just being plain ridiculous, so i tell him to leave my house. maybe not the friendliest move, but fuck, he was about as low as he could go, just swearing left and right, because he lied and got caught. predictably enough, we knew where he went, and our bystander friend went and fetched him, as well as explained that he was being a moron, and did lie. all is well, but WTF. just ridiculous really.

Check out BestBuy. When I went there to buy my video camera, they had a shitload in all different price ranges. They sometimes have salesmen who know what the fuck they're talking about. When I went, the guy that helped me was in a band so he helped me get something good for recording the band and shit.

after a few weeks of kicking this idea around and formulating the plan, we are happy to announce that from august 18-22 we will be recording our an as-of-now unnamed EP. it will contain at least two new songs which none of you have heard! we will re-do at least one old song with ryan thall of anomaly on guest vocals.

our producer/mixer/recording engineer will be spencer setters (www.spencersetters.com) who has recorded ANOMALY, ABSTRACTION, and many other bands from the maryland region.

very excited to get a PROFESSIONAL sounding recording out with our new songs, which are very melodic and a bit more technical than our earlier songs.

we will be selling the final product in fall, after we decide how to distribute it.

logo/simple art shirts are on the way and will be done soon and i will post another bulletin about them when we have them.
