Kreator's Sound?

From the Earlier stuff (Endless Pain/Pleasure to Kill/Flag of Hate EP) I know they down tune to D but can i recreate their sound with a Boss Metalzone? and a somewhat cruddy amp? (28w)

The only sound you can recreate with a metalzone (notice no capitalization) is the sound of someone squirting soda fizz into your ear.

Even worse, shrill cock-rock tone!

I know Mille uses an EMG-81 in the bridge, always. As for heads they used a JCM900 or 2000 in the past, not sure if they still use Marshalls. Maybe Engl?

Throw away the Metal Zone and get an overdrive pedal to get more crunch or whatever to the amp distortion. Most amps can be helped out with one of these, unless it's REALLY got hardly any distortion.the MZ is totally worthless for anything musical IMO.Now the Heavy Metal pedal, that's a whole other story.........
