Effect plugin/software?
Ok so I'm basically looking for a plugin or any type of software with built in guitar effects that would allow me to plug my guitar or bass directly into the soundcard or microphone input, select which effects I would like to use, play my guitar and hear it through my computer speakers in real time WITH the effects. I probably made that sound very confusing and n00bish  but I'm pretty much looking for a program that is like a virtual multi-efx pedal so I can use my computer speakers like a small amp, preferably one that lets me record with the selected patches/effects... thus eliminating the need for an actual preamp. Does anybody know of a plugin or software that does this?
