Suggestions For Heavy Covers Of Dance/RnB songs

Hi,

I'm putting together an album due for release soon, and it's been suggested that I should do a heavy version of a dance song or an R'N'B song - Something popular on the charts that is generally instantly recognizable... I would like to do it just to take the piss out of it. I have worked out some heavy versions for the songs Milkshake by Kelis and Satisfaction by Benny Benasi, but find they are WAY too repetitve... Can any one think of a song which somewhat has a structure other than one/two "riffs"??? It's either this or I write new parts for the songs myself...

Cheers

L.

He means taking a catchy radio-friendly pop song (think Brittney Spears) and making a parodied metal version of it.

How about something by The Prodigy? Of course their stuff is 'heavy' by dance standards anyway.

I remember that version, it wasn't much better than the original.

Hey, noone's murdering Prodigy, ok?

Anyway, it's all a bit cheesy and over the top... Of course, that's the point haha

Hmm... Someone should cover Umbrella by Rhianna.

You aren't wrong... hence the part where I said Only, Heavier. I can't quite find a song that isn't so repetitive that I would rather cuts off my hands than play the same riff over and over, so I think I'll settle on one soon and write some new riffs which fit the lyrics I guess... Keep an eye out
