Nobody made them join the army or whatever branch they joined. Its their own dumb ass fault if they didn't realize they could die out there. For the most part I agree support the troops, but nobody held a gun to their head and said "go fucking shoot someone or you'll get shot" they just got suckered in by post 9/11 nationalism (At this point its safe to say very few pre 9/11 Joinee's are even left).

but seriously, Im going to Air Force BMT july 24th. Im glad i joined, my family can't afford college, if i didnt join, id be working some dead end job, trying to pay off college loans, and not even knowing what my future would be. The military has awesome benefits, and I want to step up and serve my country. (not a whole lot of people have the balls to even sign up for the damn coast guard) i know there are some people on this board who have military roots.
Iraq may be a fucked up war. But now theres no turning back we've already pissed off the middle east. if we leave without some control in Iraq. Then our country is royally fucked. I wish there were more "pro-war" presidential candidates. Id want someone like Patton, (old general, go see the movie). Someone with the balls to step up and say, "We are going to win this, kill these motherfuckers who hate us, and damnit im tired of paying 3$ a gallon on gas, lets get some fuckin oil so we can pay 25 cents! Lets gain control and show the world that we're Americans, and dont Fuck with us." just my thoughts...
