i was thinking about atempting to write a grindcore song and was wondering if their was a specific tunning or tunnings i should use or any specific techniques commonly used in grincore

Any low tuning will do probably, wank out on the bass strings, and just keep everything in time, occasionally. Add a vocalist who shouts gory shit, and you have your grind song. Throw some random diminished sweeps in if you want to show off and sound cool.



In all seriousness though, your best bet is to listen to the music to get an idea, that's what I took from most of the grind that I hear, minus the sweeps.

Listen to terrorizer, napalm death, brutal truth, rotten sound, extreme noise terror, but for the love of god don't use them as a "guide" to writing grindcore songs, just come up with something yourself.
