Regardless, it's safe to assume that acne is as relatively uncurable as cancer is.

Food's effects on acne have different effects on people depending on their metabolism. I've eaten an entire jar of peanut butter in a day and didn't get a single pimple for weeks. If I start eating a lot of stuff like really greasy cheeses or sausages or drink a lot many days in a row I start to look like the surface of the moon.

Drink lots of water. LOTS. Every day, throughout the whole day, don't just gulp a gallon in 2 hours and don't drink for the rest of the day. Piss all that urea and excess salt shit out of your bloodstream all throughout the day.

Stop drinking alcohol.

Eat less retartedly greasy food.

Wash your face with only water, stay away from soaps, even the salicylic acid ones that are made specifically for acne, because they eradicate all the natural oils from your face/whereever and irritate it and induce even MORE production of oils and stimulate acne.

Shower every day, you dirty bastard.

Take a shit every day, if you don't, increase your fiber intake. Those shredded wheat cereals sure do the trick, also try sundried prunes or apricots. I eat 5-6 sundried apricots every day(they're small), it's a guaranteed poop.

For a topical "quick fix" solution to put on your zits any cream with benozyl peroxate(or peroxide?), it's the only one that really makes them go away, not just dry the fuck out of your skin. Neutrogena is the best I've found, the least abrasive, and it blends in with your skin after a while so you don't have a big white blob all over your face if you need to use it in the morning. It makes it look less red too.

You should of course combine ALL THIS with whatever your dermatologist tells you to do(should you need to use antibiotics, or use different solutions on your acne, etc.). Minocyclin is the most commonly used antibiotic for acne, I've used it for a long time, but you're only supposed to use it in periods of like 6 months, beyond that you really shouldn't. I've been using it for so long that it no longer has much effect on me though, it's been about 6 months since I stopped using it as I was told, now I need to see the dermatologist again and he'll probably prescribe more, or go for some stronger medicines.

WARNING - This rant is 100% bullshit that I typed up in a fit of rage. I made most of it up.

I have just now bought an Apple iPod.

I am a happy and proud user of Windows Media Player, and I did not want to change to iTunes. I was told by some friends that iPod shuffles were plug and play. I believed them [first mistake] and after much deliberation bought one [second mistake]. However, even if they weren't plug and play, I was determined to find a way around using iTunes, a clearly inferior and poorly constructed programme to not only WMP but basically any media player out there.

So anyway I get home, plug, port, and then try to play. Not work. No problem. I download SharePod - no luck. I download ephPod - no luck. I download Xplay - no luck. I download yamaPod - no luck. Every programme either didn't work or looked like it worked without actually working. ephPod was a major let down, after it detected the iPod and seemingly ported all my songs across quickly and easily.

So after using ephPod and porting over a number of tracks, I save all changes and safely unplug my Pod. I press play. The Pod flashes at me to say "skd in nub. lol.". So I plug the Pod back into the PC, and search it through Windows. Each song is given its specific serial number, and put into their correct directories. I check it all in ephPod, and ephPod detects all the tracks and sees that they are installed in there. So I save changes once again and safely pull out the Pod. I plug in my own headphones to eradicate faulty headphone problems. I follow every instruction on the book to use it, and I turn the volume all the way up. It still plays nothing and it continues to tell me I'm a 'nub'.

Conceeding defeat, I go through every rigorous step once more. No avail. I turn to plan Z and miserably download iTunes, a 36.2 [approx] megabyte download.

This is where I begin to realise that your friendly iPod isn't just a garden variety media player for super happy joy times as much as it is a marketing retail net.

Things could be so much easier.

Apple is a trusted multi million dollar making company that has built equipment, computers and software for years now. So naturally, when I'm looking for a physical, bite sized, hand held media player, I go straight to a trusted source. Now I realise I'm just a product of bainwashing spamvertising and that Apple is a ruthless multinational coporation just like any other. All the years of rooting for the underdog to be rewarded with a bad media player.

So why is the iPod so bad and for that matter, why is iTunes so bad?

The Apple iPod is not a plug and play piece of hardware. If the iPod was plug and play, I wouldn't be shredding it right now. Plug and play is the easiest and most user friendly medium of device connectivity. For those who don't understand the concept of plug and play, in this instance, you 'plug' your iPod into the pc, 'and' your songs to it, and 'play' them. Simple. Easy. Efficient. User friendly. iPod is none of these things.

Instead, Apple chooses to make a symbiotic [parasitic?] buddy programme to co-exist with your happy super funPod. This wouldn't be a problem, if it were not for the following things:

• iTunes is an inferior programme to basically all other media players.
• iTunes breeds annoying m4a file types.
• I don't WANT to change media players, I have use WMP for years, I shouldn't HAVE to change.

I am familiar with my media player. I have customised my media player. I have ordered my media player like an encyclopaedia. I like my media player. I don't want to go through the bullshit of downloading another media player to customise, create profiles, order meticulously and boggle over, I already have one that does that, and it WORKS FINE. I don't want your propaganda retail consumer net second rate media player. I ALREADY HAVE ONE. I don't want to buy or use your m4a files. I don't want iTunes.

iTunes has everything my media player has, and less. So why does it exist? Why should anyone possibly have to change from their media player to Apples media player? It's obvious, iTunes, and in fact iPod itself, is built not for the consumer, not for super happy fun joy, but for the cold hard cash.

Let's look. What has iPod, and iTunes, brought to the table that we didn't already have before it's invention? I'm thinking. Now, I am no longer thinking, because I have thought and I cannot think of a single new idea Apple brought to the table with their revolutionary new product [other than a few unfunny memes and hyperbolicly glorified ad campaigning].

Can you tell me why iTunes exists? Oh, it exists so you can work your iPod? Turn on your iBrain and think again, because you are wrong. iTunes was specifically built to combat the other media players out there [WMP, Winamp, etc.]. But Apple were smart, they knew that they wouldn't break the market with 'just another half assed' media player. So they work it in with the iPod, dress it up to look like an iPod is super super cool customisable, 'just for you express yourself' media player. Bullshit. But people buy it of course. People that don't actually care about their music, about their programmes. They'll use iTunes because their iPod tells them to! So iTunes spreads over the planet infecting the market like a plague. This pulls the market and consumers away from the competition in a clever scheme that brainwashes the buyer. iTunes is not better than another media player. The iPod is not better than any competitive media player.

Apples catch phrase is 'Think Different'. They are thinking no differently.

DO NOT BUY APPLE iPods.

iPod is not good. It is not better. It is not user friendly. It is not worth your time.

A few things:

1. Nobody's going to force you to customize iTunes. I was pissed off the have iTunes (they forced me to download it to get Quicktime), but now that my WMP refuses to burn CDs I'm not too annoyed much longer. But I don't put anything on it that I'm not going to burn, and I don't use it except to burn the CDs that WMP spits out and makes useless. So I'm not really complaining about having iTunes anymore.
2. You seem to forget that nobody had portable mp3 players before the iPod (not that they didn't exist, since I doubt that that's the case, but just that nobody found them worthwhile despite the fact that their massive success shows that there was a huge market for not having to fuck around anymore with CDs). That's why it's successful. You're extrapolating your personal situation a few years after the iPod was introduced and pretending that it's the situation in which the iPod was introduced. Obviously it isn't. I shouldn't have to be telling you this.

Now, I don't like iTunes, refuse to get an iPod, and don't actually use Apple for anything but video editing, but you're full of shit. And you know it. So quit it.

Sleepytime were one of the best live bands I've seen, and Nils might be the best frontman I've seen in a long time, despite being obviously shy. Normally if people dress up and put on makeup I can't take them seriously, but if they do that, poke fun at themselves, and play some blistering crazy shit that's alternately trancy, dancy, and thrashy, I'm pretty content. They all also dance amusingly and are incredibly tight live. The vocals, and this surprised me, sound pretty much the same as on the record.

No shit. I mean seriously. Apple is not gods gift to man like everybody thinks it is. Its definitely trendy to own and sport Ipods and Apple computers. They are decient but its WIDELY known that Apple fails miserably in the compatibility department. They produce their computers and laptops to not accept a large portion of OEM products because they only concentrate on working with certain hardware.

Basically they focus their efforts using a certain set of hardware and thats it. You cannot run OSX with non apple approved hardware. (without going on the internet and modding it and all that bullshit. This apple fanatic i know was telling me about it)
