edge 3

I was wondering if the edge 3's were any good Iknow Ibanez is starting to put them on a lot of their guitars. I was thinking of getting one of those new warrior style guitars and I want to know if their any good. I hate floyds of any kind even OFR I think they are all crap. so I hope little better in playing

Edge IIIs are ok by me. Truthfully if you hate OFR tho you probably might hate the Edge. The edge is better and smoother but still you get all the problems of a floating bridge. If you are looking at a different system all together get a string through guitar and install a Kahler tremelo system. r even get those Slayer signature ESP and B.C. Rich guitars with the Kahler already on them.

Kahlers are the best tremelo IMO. When you dive the bar down the strings move on rollers as oppossd to the whole bridge moving. There is also more pull up on the bar. When you dive the strings will not fall off the neck like Floyds/Edges it will always have a tone. Restringing is super easy as well. Kahlers even stay in tune after a string is broken. They stay in tune the best also I find not matter how crazy you get with the bar. You can also adjust your string spacing and height easy as well.

Here is a picture of it

Notice also that the bar can but set up anywhere on the system.

But if you still are looking at Edges they are good as well. Better than Floyds. Just avoid the Edge Pro 2 worst tremelo EVER!!! Edge Pro 1 and 3 are good.

Also the Zero Risitance Tremelo system (availble on the Ibanez S series guitars) are amazing. So smooth and SUPER EASY to use. You don't need a hex wrench to adjust the bridge (when you change string gagues or downtune) it's all a manual knob on the back of the guitar. The Zero Point System consistently returns the tremolo to the center position (zero point). This system offers ease of tuning, tuning stability and the ability to keep playing even after a string is broken.
