Immune to Smiles
Flash that face flash that face
You'll get no chemical reaction from me
Not only have I been trained in ways of deviance
I've learnt from experience

I had to laugh at the title, very grim.
Is this you trying to eliminate passionate language from your lyrics too?

I thought the title was catchy. The verse itself could be commercial as in a media ad or as someone trying to sell themself as a friend. Lots of interpretations going through my head. It's sparse enough where it's not certain. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

I guess your many interpretations, Bobbi, are coming from trying to physically apply the lyrics, which may the case in the true interpretation, be there one, but I only ever try and visualise the kinda 'shape' of what's going on.
Seems a very basic yet deliberately vague message.
Very punky and chaotic, something which I am coming to consider as an Infinity trademark.

And thusly great arguments are borne! At least he's still around to put us in our place about the real interpretation if he has one. But it's cool trying to see through others' eyes whether it's the writer or another reader.

Personal
Bobbi may have been closest.
Flash that face flash that face
smile
You'll get no chemical reaction from me
smiling is said to induce a chemical reaction in the brain which creates a sense of ease or wards away negativity
Not only have I been trained in ways of deviance
i have been prof. trained in sales and retail so i know all the tricks in the book
I've learnt from experience
i have been caught off guard by a facade too many times in the past to do so again.

No need to explain it, I don't think. It was pretty clear from the title what the lines meant (at least I thought so, with the exception of deviance=sales, which I like), and it's better if left open to interpretation, since it's well written enough to invite multiple parallel readings.

I got that part. Any motion in a living being is caused by chemical reactions and often triggers more.

That was incredibly pointless display of know-it-allism, which like most such displays only showed that you knew something everybody who's taken a science class has learned. Please desist from doing this in forums I mod.

So sorry. May I correct/explain myself. I was merely stating that that was one part I got right away because I knew the relation between smiling and bodily chemical reactions. I was also offering this information to Infinity.
I edit hte post by saying to re-read it ignoring the first sentence.
