To Differentiate Once (Revised)
Code:
To Differentiate Once
[f(x) = x^2
= (x.x)
f'(x) = 2x
= (x+x)]
The hateful mind is a product space,
upon which lies delusion,
that the enemy is a negative being,
that one must negate,
to produce positivity once more.
Reality is an addition space,
one where two wounds are created:
one from negation,
one from its cancellation.
To differentiate the hateful mind once,
is to reflect reality in one's mind,
to become no more a parabola,
which comes from chaos and returns,
and see the constant line,
the slope of demise itself.
A revision, although changes are only slight.

I have no idea why you have calculus or what this has to do with calculus but i definitely like the lyrics.
generally stuff you put out is pretty good/up my alley.

Heh heh, thanks.
Well, the lyrics, if you read the original thread, come from when I found I was able to explain an ethical situation mathematically.

Calculus is a symbolic language, as is mathematics in general. That being the case, you can describe all sorts of things using calculus, if you're so inclined. Apparently Unanything is.

omg
Unanything, the only thing that bugged me about the piece was all the darn commas! I don't think you need that many.

I just put commas to kinda punctuate the lines, otherwise the lines get over long. Apart from that I try to keep a 'point-' or 'idea-a-line' kinda thing.

Maybe it's different in your speech patterns, but I detected natural pauses so that's why I said that. If they occur naturally I don't think they're as necessary, but I understand why you did them.

OK. Well, yeah, just note that I use them to separate points out for future. You can see sometimes how some lines all follow a previous line in some verses, like in the second stanza, each line attachs to the end of the first.

The most that i could describe using chaos theory was that i, in all probability could never exist to describe..

Chaos theory sounds to me like a case of 'missing variables', though, not a physical phenomenon, especially considering it is not as much a mathematical thing as a physical or mathematical-physical thing.
Calculus is a bit simpler.
