Please help.

I actually did a search, and didn't come up with anything useful so...

When I adjust my volume knob, I get a serious crackling, and at most really no sound at all, unless I actually apply pressure to the knob, then, if I am lucky, I will have volume until I touch the knob again.

So I figured the pot must be going (I cleaned it and such). I just changed the pot, and soldered everything at least as well as it was, because it is working exactly the same way. >

I jiggled the wires, and nothing seemed to affect it. Could this be my capacitor shitting the bed? I really don't know where to go from here, and to be honest, I am quite frustrated now, because I was sure changing the pot would work.

Have you checked all the other solder joints, and the earth wire that goes to the bridge?

Do you have access to a different guitar cable? Sometimes cheap cables can give you crackling.

duuuude that sounds fucked....

myself, i'd unsolder EVERYTHING and then put it all back together (make note of where all the wires go first )... but hey, thats just me....

could be a capacitor i guess.. never experienced any 'failures' from them though!

well, hope you get that shit fixed man

It is totally not the cable. I only use Monsters and none of my other guitars are having this issue. What a pain in the ass.
