dimarzio pickups

which out of these pickups would be the best for death metal and other heavy distorted music. x2n EVO D-activator I like thaqt they say its sounds kind of like a active pick up without the fake sound and batteries. or any others I could use but did not mention

D-activator sounds good. Other candidates for high gain death metal:

Dimarzio Evolution
Tonezone
Super Distortion
X2N
Breed.

I have the Tonezone in 1 guitar and it kills, plus it's extremely versatile. I've also tried the x2n in 1 guitar and it rocks although you need a good neck pickup like a paf pro to match it up with for some decent cleans and smoother lead sounds.

I also have the Blazes in my UV7Bk and they sound amazing for lead, though I'm not sure if they quality as extremely high gain, but they sure as hell do death metal.

so it doesnt sound like a active pu at all??

+1 on the tonezone, imo one of the best pu's available, also produces lots of harmonics wich is always good for metal imo.
