Inquiries into intonation
I was wondering if my guitar is not properly intonated. I tune my low string to D. It says it is perfect in the tuner, but if I go to the 7th fret (A) it is slightly flat, is this intonation problems?

probaly not.. intonation is about the 0 and 12th fret of the same string..
so a string perfectly tuned to D should also be perfectly tuned to D when you hit the 12th fret.. (read almost perfectly cuz technically perfect is impossible).
this is also a reason y many guitarist tune their guitar by ear, cuz a guitar is never perfectly tuned from fret to fret.. by tuning using 5th frets and harmonics (dno if your familiar with these ways of tuning) you can sortof balance out the slight incorrections between strings.. (this is not realy about intonation, but it might interest some so..)
not sure if that makes sence.. theres a youtubeclip of eric johnson explaining the idea.. ill post it here IF i can find it...
EDIT: here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpEP34X0fe4 hope this clears some stuff up.

yeah, my open and 12th fret are pretty damn close on all strings. I use a tuner whenever i can though, I just feel weird tuning with harmonics.
