My pickups requier a battery, what does that mean? Are they active?

not exactly.. i've noticed you have a jackson DKMGT, which i also have (and i love it). the DKMGT has passive EMG pickups and an active gain booster. you know that first knob that you can pull out and boost the gain with? that's an active gain booster called the afterburner, and that's what the battery is for. the brand new DKMGT has active EMGs now, but no more gain booster.

im guna make this black and white for you.
PASSIVE PICKUPS ARE FUCKING PASSIVE. It will always be this way.
AFTERBURNER CIRCUIT IS ACTIVE.
active circuit does not change the fact that the pickups are passive, the pickups WILL ALWAYS BE PASSIVE.
If you have emg's that are NOT HZ's, then yes, theyre active pickups.

Man, I get real sweaty after I wack my dong.
