Protone Body Rot II pedal
Just wondering whether anyone has ever played one of these? Maybe its just the name and the fact that its boutique but I'd love to give one a go and see how it sounds. http://protonepedals.com/ (third pedal down on main page). Point to Point, hand wired too.
Some of these new distortion pedals are getting really awesome reviews, even the Boss Metalcore is said to be a huge step up from the Metalzone.

I saw the Boss Metalcore NAMM video on youtube, and man, does it sound atrocious. I'd much rather have a basic amp with average distortion and throw an OD pedal in front for more balls.

Yeah, I haven't had first hand experience with either but just from what people are saying/ reviews etc the Metalcore doesn't seem too bad. I never go on sound clips as they always sound completely different in real life. I agree though the Protone clip does sound cack, but probably completely different in reality.
