up and comming metal guitar companies?
just wondering, aside from ESP, Ran, Ibanez, BC RICH and Jackson(well...ran guitars arnt popular) are there any other companies that make metal guitars? rather, good, and affordable guitars?
i only know of Peavey and Halo guitars.
peavey is doing something with their V-types(sexy strat-like guitars), Rotor EX(explorer) and Vortex EX(rhoads) for pretty cheap.
and then halo guitars are prolly the new 'BC RICH' for their weird guitars. they arnt too expensive considering how weird some are. take a look at em:
http://haloguitars.com/instruments.html
so do you know of any?

Check out KxK Guitars. Karl Sanders plays one, the chick from Warface plays one, and some dude from this forum ordered one a little while ago.

umm...these guys:
caparison guitars
used by Romeo from Symphony X, and 'AI'(dont exactly know what that means, nor can i spell his real name) from Freak Kitchen and bunch of others....no idea how much they go for though:
http://www.kyowashokai.co.jp/capari...07products.html
really digging their 27 fret necks
hahah, halo guitars have metal sanaz as their halo gal. shes hot!
umm...dean has been doing stuff with some of their guitars. their lower end guitars that come in at 200 or so are surprisingly good.

+1 one on the mosers, the import series(700$ ish) are awesome bang for buck, as good as any other neckthru in the closest immediate price range(Jackson slsmg for example), most of them require extremely cheesy taste to like though.
The rest are up and coming for sure, but I wouldn't consider KxK or caparison "affordable".

the jackson pro series RR24 looks cool...but first looks like an active version of alexi's ESP guitar, and just 1 pikcup...go with something else
but i'm thinking of making a replica of RR24 but with 2 pickups....cant figure out if i want dimarzio evolution with covers, or two emg hz h4

wouldnt work with 2 pickups (correct me if im wrong) but in order for it to have the same scale length and have 24 frets the neck pickup has to not be there.

+1 to Mosers.
Im gonna get a custom bolt-on guitar from them once i get the money. I find most of their shapes appealing, but too bad their so expensive.

Kramers and Steinbergers. Ok they are old guitars but they still kick ass for that price.

I always thought Steinbergers were badass. The Trans-Trem is such a great idea.
Yeah why KxK costs so much I have no idea. I'm liking the Mosers though.

If you think KxK costs alot, wait till you see the prices on the Mosers...
But the Mosers have extremely good craftsmanship and it probably takes alot more effort to make those killer shapes so the prices are worth it IMO.

I forgot Dean guitars: mustaine from megadeth made a model for them recently. But not too familiar with them really.

dude, dean was famous WAY before mustaine got into em. dimebag made em popular even before they went bankrupt, and then made em more famous when dean came back.
but idk Steinbergers i always thought lookd ugly. first, they dont have a headstock, which makes it look like some disabled guitar. then the body being a rectangular shape makes it look like a lap guitar or soemthing....ugly. though, it may be one of the lightest electric guitars around

not really all too expensive considering the wood is 35000 years old. the guitars comes in at about 1000-3000

Surprised no one mentioned AXL, i dont know how big they are, or aren't but I saw them featured in Guitar World, on their CD-ROM and the sounded pretty good, and from my understanding their all under $400.
http://www.axlguitars.com/
They introduced a Mayhem series of guitars which are geared towards metal playing.
Again im not sure on how big a company they are, or if AXL is made by a bigger company or something, but if not, their definatly worth checking out.

Oh what about Aria. That company has been around a while. Make some great stuff. They were used a lot in the 80s. The guitarist of Master uses the explorer type model with a Kahler.
