Amp Won't turn on
I've been having a problem where my amp would have trouble turning on, but eventually it would. As of yesterday it completely quit, I can't get it on no matter what I do. The most it does is light up, but never completely turn on.
I know this is probably going to require a tech to fix, but I'm just curious as to what the problem could be.
It's a crate blue voodoo combo amp 6212

Uh oh! I doesn't sound good, but don't go inside to fix it yourself.
Just see if the fuses are blown first.

I have no experience with opening amps up, so I wouldn't know how to go about that.
I do know that if it isn't anything that can be fixed at home, that it will probably end up being a small desk for a few months.

Tubes? You say it lights up, but no sound? And you've had the same problem before, but it eventually came around to working state?
If so, tubes may be worn. That's regular maintenance work, and doesn't really require a tech to replace.

It was kind of like a car that takes several tries to turn on, but now I only get it a spark out of it, but it never turns on completely.
It never gets a chance to produce sound, because it always fails to turn on.

Well that's another thing, the standby switch clicks on and off, but the power switch doesn't and just feels weak.
either way if it requires welding, or something I'm no good at, I'm screwed for a while.
Thanks for all the help everyone.

If it's the tubes I could do that on my own, but if it's ans electrical prob, then I'll definitely have to do that.
I just opened the amp up a little while ago, and everything seemed fine, the only thing on my amp that seems not to be in working order, is the power switch.
