Defragging the Feather

I was trying to explain some computer stuff to my friend who's more pc illiterate than me. She understood this.

And we had a great laugh.

" Defragging the Feather "

You see it's like this-
If you take a feather
It's all fluffy
But if you take that feather
Drench it
It gets skinny
But
The same thing is still
All there
It's just compressed
If you fluff it back out
It's the same feather

Interesting. I get the concept as well, funny how you make data seem kinda 'Bohr's atom' in that it's mostly empty space and compression gets rid of some of the empty space. I don't know if that's how it works in reality, but amusing analogy.
