HI, I'm going mad  searching a clean "AT THE GATES", "DARK TRANQUILLITY" distortion for my zoom 3030. Please, if someone can give me some patches or suggestion for this footswitch i really appreace it |

a clean distortion? a little confused here.
Are you talking about that supersaturated tight distorted tone they have? Or are you talkigna about the clean tone they use mid song sometimes.

I mean the "supersaturated" tone. For clean I meam without annoying rustlles and just like that distortion

I doubt you'll find a tight distortion on any zoom product.
It's all digital prone to clipping crap.
If you want that great analogue tone these bands use, you need a great analogue amp.
Distortion pedals just don't cut it.

they used old ass peavey combos in recording i believe... i cant remember which ones, but i know my school had one...
and marshall jcm 900 sl-x's for live? Maybe 800's?
they also used boss hm-2's and hm-1's as boosts...
there might be other stuff... but this is all i know

Yeah, a wealth of early Swedish death metal bands weren't using good gear at all, in fact many of them were using plain old distortion pedals.

Zoom 3030 Patchworks Website. Google is your friend!  They have a patch just for death metal, you should just dial that in and then try and tweak the gain and other parameters to your liking. Since your probably using it in front of an amp, run it into the clean channel and set the amp's lows to 12 o'clock, mids to the max, and highs at 12 o'clock (a.k.a. "flat EQ"). If there's not enough bottom or bite when you go patching on the 3030, try adjusting them on the amps low & high knobs.
Keep in mind you can only go so far with the 3030 and other older kinds of DSP based multi-fx unit distortion.
EDIT : And yeah, Entombed's tone on "Left Hand Path" is terrifying but I can't believe the things I've heard about it being mostly a Metal Zone pedal.

It's all in the production. An experienced engineer can make a shite guitar amp sound like a million bucks.
