It's kind of playable, the coloured threads have been replaced with actual strings, and tuned up. But due to the nut not being shaped properly yet, they are out of tune when you fret (the nut is too tall, so the strings are pulled sharp when you fret). I've been mucking around fretting chords and stuff like that, and it seems quite comfortable to play, i'm looking forward to being able to play it properly and make some clips of it

Thats cool man can't wait for the updates.
Its definitely clear that the fanned frets has got to be more natural and comfortable. Your hand naturally wants to be staggered over the frets rather than in a line. Might make quick movements from low to high notes on the neck a lil harder as you'll have to move your hand further in the same amount of time, but i doubt its even a big deal.

the price of a lens doesn't always signify it's a better lens, for instance my sigma 10-20mm is Ł288, the Canon equivalent 10-22mm, is Ł500. the canon 10-22mm is totally unjustified for the extra money as the sigma actually performs better, for far less. it has better colour and is equal to the canon in every way, surpassing it in certain areas. and you get a lens hood and nice case with the sigma which is a bonus.
$2000 would be less than the price of a 5D body which is the next dSLR up from mine and i could get for around Ł1,199.99 (and which the reviews say that the 40D equals in many areas including noise reduction) i still want a 5D though
edit: of course, if it's military it's probably gonna be immense

No they're not military its the Air Force. The most over budgeted wasteful spending branch of the armed forces.
He says his shop gets new cameras like twice a year. I have no idea what hes gotten but i know i've almost broken it before while skateboarding haha. He uses it alot of times to take pictures of aircraft refueling behind like a KC-135.

Yes.... It was a joke. They don't act like it, and i think if it was up to them they would probably rather be under a different "classification." Such as an aggressive airline.
They do things pretty much drastically different than all the other branches and pretty much do everything solo.
Until they invention of the A-10 warthog they had no doctrine to do any kind of close air support, only hitting strategic targets. (strategic being high level, no interaction or help withother forces and away from front lines kinda stuff)

Yes an NCO. The backbone of the marine corps. A real nco definitely strives to make sure his marines get what they need. I'm an nco now and its definitely something that i try to stick my neck out to do.
I'm not active duty so its not as much as the active duty guys but i try to get stuff done for at least one marine under me during the month.
Oh yeah and Xgraf: All of the upper level navy guys are in the chain of command.
Truth: Well.... yeah i think to most people. The uniform thing is one of the bigger issues i think personally, but some fat chick who is supposed to be a colonel... with her fucking hands in her pockets while "standing at attention" is just despicable. It sends it over the top with being ridiculous. The air force should definitely feel ashamed of this picture. Which i feel that they probably do, (hopefully)

personally i find it humorous, but being that i'm joining the Air Force, i certainly won't be going around showing off this picture, because it really is a disgrace and embarrassment. I hold high respects for all branches of the armed services, esp the one I'm soon to be a part of, so I hope to never come across any more pictures that degrade them in any sense like this. But what's done is done so I might as well find the humor out of it.
