Just wondering in the song terrible certainty, are you meant to play the fast pedal tone bit with downpicking or economy picking, because i know it sounds a crap load better all downpicking, but its really pushing the limits at 240bpm with 8th notes for long periods??

Im happy to practice for a long time to get it up to speed, but is it a pretty achievable thing to do?

try alternate picking mate

much easier than downpicking or economy picking (i tihnk you may have used that term by mistake?), but it should work fine, just get the string skips nice and neat!
