Paiste ?
Hey. I have a 13" hihat and a 20" ride. They're both Paiste, the 302 series. I personally think they sound like shit, so i was wondering if anyone else had any experience with Paiste gear ?

i went to a drumshop today and tried, like 10 different rides + some Paiste ones. All of them sounded superb except the Paiste ones......same thing goes for hihats... i guess germans should just stick with making cars instead of percussion thingies

LOL
yes they should, hehe :P
Meinl (or how the fuck that is spelled) also makes pretty cool stuff,
if you get zildjan don't get the zbt (or something) series, they come as a set but sound really fucked up, that's why that set is sooooo cheap for a zildjan set!

well it depends on your taste, I guess, but then again, I didn't hear all the paiste series, there are always better and worse series and the diffrence is pretty big, just like with the zildjan ZBT's etc.

you guys are dumb, you cannot judge paistes by the _02's... that's like summing up all ziljians as zbt's and all sabians as b8's.... of course they're going to sound shitty because they're entry level cymbals...
play some rude series ones, or the signature series, the dimensions, the visions, the color sounds, innovations, ect... then shut up because they make cymbals just as good if not better cymbals than ziljian and sabian.
AA meinl just barely started making GOOD cymbals, they've been making shit for years that was only "ok" but now some of there shit is looking pretty nice...
btw, why isnt this in drums?

I have only 2 paiste cymbals and they are 10" and 8" cups. The rest of my set is Zildjian and i like them alot better. Zildjian cymbols also cost alot less than Paiste cymbals.
