Effect chain question?

I have a Jackson Dinky along with a Marshall MG Series 250DFX. This is how I have my guitar and pedals:

Guitar goes into:

Boss CS-3 Compression Sustainer Pedal

into

Boss MT-2 Metal Zone Pedal

into

Boss GE-7 Equalizer Pedal

into

Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor Pedal

How would I use this with the FX loop on the amp and would the FX loop be better than going from the guitar, into the pedals and then the amp?

Any and all info would be great.

Peter

Looks good. Try the EQ in the loop, the rest should stay where they are.

So just the EQ going into the FX-Return on the amp and everyting else the same?

+1 on the EQ in the loop, much greater response and flexibility, i.e. you can alter your tone more radically and accurately. I'd also put the NS-2 in the loop too, same reason, it'll be more effective as it will capture the noise going into and out of the preamp.

Do I want the EQ going into the FX Send, FX Return Left (Mono) or the FX Return Right?

Then the guitar will go into the Compression and distortion pedal and then into the amp?

Also, How do I have just the EQ going into the FX of the amp and keep the EQ pedal's power on? If I plug the EQ directly into the FX of the amp and nothing going into the EQ pedal the power will not come on the EQ pedal.

Its a little confusing but think of it all as a big loop, i.e. it all needs connecting up. The 'FX send' of the amp goes to the input of the pedal and then another cable from the output of the pedal to the FX return. Have a mess around with including the EQ in that loop -or- I believe the NS-2 has its own little onboard FX loop. Put the EQ within that little loop (so one loop inside another, if that makes sense). Same criteria applies FX Send --> Pedal Input , Pedal Output --> FX Return.
