Obscure fusion bands

I haven't heard of many, but i love bands that have their own sound and sound nothing alike by incorporating different (UN-metal) genres in their tunes.

Some strange bands.

Sleep terror (jazz, metal)
Ephel duath (jazz,.metal)
The flaming tsunamis (ska, metal)
Behold... the arctopus (Insanity)
Fate (Hip hop, Death metal)
Slipknot (metal, samples)

I'm not interested in bands that are a fusion of Hardcore/thrash/metal blah blah its just not as interesting

Teem sleep?

I enjoy a bit of slipknot on occasion but if they didn't have samples they would be nearly as interesting.

Crotchduster is also pretty cool, i forgot to list that.

Slipknot make very little use of samples.

I use to listen to Slipknot. If they are using samples, it's not noticeable. Maybe I don't notice it anymore because samples are nothing new.

They used to have a guitarist, I don't know why they didn't replace him when he left, but I guess that led to their unique sound.

I agree with the goofy sound, but it's really catchy.

I never even heard of them, i checked their site out but it doesn't really explain why the band is unique (other than being a 2 man).

So errr why is it unique? :P

How the fuck are Sleep Terror or Behold...The Arctopus obscure? They're popular as fuck, everyone knows them.

Check out Naked City (not that obscure either) and John Zorn (sax player in Naked City)... I think you won't like them but you'll pretend to so you look cool.

Kagerou - Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Blues, Jazz.

I mean that they do those kind of songs on one album. Not that they mix all those genres in one song. (though they do that too)

w00t! Post 666! Again. Where the hell my posts go?

Wow you thick cunt, just because something is obscure it doesn't mean it's not popular infact that's probably the factor that draws in fans.

I said Obscure not unpopular. fucking read next time.

obscure - far from public notice, worldly affairs, or important activities; remote; retired

Yes. Obscure means not popular. Because once you become popular, you don't fit snuggly into that definition.

Owned.

If you say behold... the arctopus isn't obscure, there is no further reason to listen to any posts you have to say. End of story
