Guys,

I'm looking to develop a series of MIDI-based and looping/switching products that will be handbuilt and handpainted by myself, largely made to order. I would like to know from you guys, what kind of things that you'd be interesed in and price etc.
The first product will be a simple 1 in, 4 out MIDI splitter, aimed at rack setups. Users won't have to depend on (quite often) temperamental MIDI OUT/THRU interfaces on rack equipment, and to ensure timing accuracy between devices, which can become an issue in rigs with many older devices.

I intend to offer a 'semi-custom' option on products ie. having more outputs on the MIDI splitter etc. The products will not deal with tone-shaping, although there will be a buffer unit, but I hope that it will have minimal/no impact on the original tone. Emphasis will be on simplicity of use, and a more affordable solution to issues, without shoddy workmanship.

Sounds cool as hell. I hope you get some takers. Midi switch pedals can get crazy expensive when you buy them stock, and I don't even like to think about what custom built midi pedals cost from big companies.

I think the buffer devices will be a hit too. Most people don't realize how important they can be.
