Red face Can Someone gimme some recording tips

plx I need someone to tell me how much microphones do I need to record a drumb (not so big) n where do I put every mic xDDDD......

plx answer meee =).....



P.D.: If u know any good music editor n recording proggram plx tell me...

Well, I THINK you want to record a drumset? You need 2 condenser mics (AKG C1000, Samson C02 "pencil" type, or the cheaper MXL ones), a kick drum mic (AKG D112 is best IMO), and a Shure sm-57 for the snare at the very least.....so 4. Any more added mics are for toms and for getting crazy with the overheads (miking certain cymbals). I use a program called Tracktion 2 by Mackie becuase it's way easy to use and works, but there are tons of choices out there.

Please give some more info so I can get a better idea of what you are trying to do.
