I have taken a serious look and have given this item more than a second thought, but I was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with this pre amp.
I've read reviews but I'm kind of sceptical of most online reviews. but then again

own it, love it! I find the clean is one of the best I have heard, really thick and full ... although I never really use it, lead is damn good, like the 4 band eq but it would be better with a little more gain =p

I found the clean pretty decent too, but it felt a little synthetic to me.. like an acoustic simulator mixed in with the guitar tone.. Lead tone was great, but i was unable to get a good thick chuggy rhythm out of it.. way too thin & piercing, not fat and brutal, more like that early black metal "chainsaw" sound. Turning the treble / high mids down just made it dull i think.

^Agreed, I owned a setup with an E530, its wayyy geard towards the high mids, great for leads but lacking in the rhythm department.

Not the greatest guitar tone demonstration ever man, the drums raped it, record yours on it's own (I'm after one of these as well).
