Ok my questions
MY band Devastator, A Retro Thrash Act is going to be recording a demo soon than we plan on getting some gigs, we are 14 & 15. I have 250/300dollars for Pedals/amplification. A Friend told me to fill a bar id need 150watts atleast so i would need to get 150watt head and 150 watt speakers? what kind of speakers like the kind you would buy at radio shack? Also iam looking for a German Thrash (Kreator/Destruction) tone but with a weird twist (Iam going to have chorus on it all the time) would metalzone be good for that? or is there a special pedal for thrash? Thanks in advance

of course it depends on the size of the bar, but i think even 65, 70 watts would be enough.

dont go to Radio Shack, they are one of the most expensive places for anything....
$300 will get you nowhere for amplification I'm afraid
Ive got a PA system that cost me $1300, and I still have to get monitor speakers. if your amplification is weak, the drums will just drown you out.........
you can spend $300 on cables and speaker stands alone.......

right, 300$ won't get you anywhere, sorry man.
you can't even buy a decent 100 w amp for that ammount of money and then I'm not talking about pedals yet.
I've got a few pedals, costed me way over $300.

I just spent 1,000 bucks on a 90 watt amp and pedals.. so it racks up pretty fast.. for 300 bucks all your pretty much going to get is somewhere around a 50 watt amp.. unless you buy something used..

if you're gtood at electronics or knows someone who is, then shop around at yard sales, i've heard of people buying used pedals that looked fine but didnt work for $5. but they just took it home, soldered some new parts they got for a few bucks, and it works like new |

Yeah, have fun drivin around lookin for yard sales for used gear. Dude, simply put you don't have enough money. Save up for a while longer, OR try to rent gear, and I still doubt you have enough money to rent, plus renting gear is a waste of money in my opinion, unless you're gonna hit up a big tour.

most of the time the places where you perform have got equipment, like a PA and shit, well in europe...
I don't know how it is in the USA, but we only need to take our amps and a part of the drumkit..

for 300 you can buy a 120 watt Crate Amp at Ebay.com
Maybe you guys should check out EBAY.com once in a while
they got great deals...
The amp also has Effects like Flanger, Distortion, CHorus, Reverb,
and etc....
