Just wanted to hear what people thought of one of the best bands(in my opinion)/ if anyone has even heard of them. Any copies of Devo... floating around?  |

At first I thought they were garbage but I got into them. Probably one of the few bands like in this genre. They have a very unique sound I think.

Where are you from?
There's lots of copies of most their stuff down in Melbourne.
I think they suck. Their drummer is very cool and very unique though. I have a recording [video] of them live but unfortunately the guitar amp wasn't mic'd up, all you hear is the bass and drums [which is all you really ever hear anyway].

I live in Virginia, not realy much of a demand for heavy music(besides all the metalcore, mallcore, etc.)down here. I have been lucky enough to find Avogoyamugs and recently ordered their split with Drogheda(which i just noticed has all the same tracks as on Devo...) But if you have a link to find more of their stuff please send it to me. |

poor production, they sound good live. as good as they can sound... which isnt very good. so they sound BETTER live.

I can actually understand why a lot of people don't like them. You really have to listen to that album quite a lot to understand whats going on and be able to jam to it. I just love how technical(yes, technical)they are. The rythms are so left of field to me.
