I dled hacked up for barbecue a while ago, I just skipped through the tracks and it doesn't have intros on every song. I don't listen to it, I think its a pretty shit album to be honest.

alot of songs do sound similar and hell sometimes the intros are the most interetaining part, but loving horror and gore films its easy to overlook that
morticians one of those love em or hate em bands i guess

The intro's are the best thing about Mortician, the "riffs" are very dull and yeah basically always the same. If you would listened once to a Mortician record you'll probably would knew this.

I'm sure Mortician could play more difficult stuff than they do, but that's not the point of their music. I don't listen to them all the time, but sometimes it's cool to crank the stereo and get blasted by that bass. A-standard, bitches!

Buddy I can play Vital Remains and Necrophagist on guitar. And I say Technicality is gay. I hate those bands. I only learn them to better myself as a guitar player. People who write for the sake of being technical fail at being song writters.

Saying technicality as a whole is gay is really a huge overstatement-technicality is awesome as long as you use it to better your songs, not just to show off. I can appreciate bands like Righteous Pigs all the way to Necrophagist. Where i draw the line is stuff like Vai and Malmsteen. That stuff is nothing but show.

If you don't like tech bands you can go and listen to your way over saturated clone genre where the next band on the list is practically the same anytime you like.
I however like listening to bands that are different and being a guitarist i love listening to obscure writing skills and timings, in my rather UN-saturated genre.
Tech exists because boring normal death metal has already been done, old school done, melodic blah blah. Tech is something for people looking for something more.

the reason i dislike the tech is because it is the safe way
boring everyone does it and thinks its' all that
people who play the old school stuff aren't playing it
to show off their shit but just to make music. to make good music

Playing the guitar in the technical way doesn't really impress me, mainly because most guitarist can reach that level with only a couple years of practice (or less even). I see kids at Guitar Center constantly playing technical riffs and it's simply boring. The only thing separating Vai from Necrophagist is the drumming and vocals.
