Mesa Cab Ohm Question

I have this cab http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_I...cto2x12H-LG.htm

You can click to see a close-up of the jack plate. What does parallel out do? What are my options for hooking up another cab to this one? Can I use another 8 ohm cab? I was told when you connect another cabinet it drops down the ohms. My amp does 8 and 16 ohms if it matters. Im looking at an older mesa/boogie vertical 2x12 with black shadows or a genz benz 2x12 to run with what I have, if I can.

if the lowest your amp can run is 8 ohms, then you can only connect two 16 ohm cabinets. Basically: 16 ohm + 16 ohm = 8... and 8 + 8 = 4...

mesa cabinets are wierd because they wire them for a lower ohmage.
