MARDUK-ROM 5:12

Today I opened the mailbox and found the promo. Did any of you download it?

If so: well, do it. And buy it afterwards. This album is good, very good, and it will turn great in a few listens.

Songs like Imago Mortis are not to be expected from Marduk, yet especially this song is absolutely BRILLIANT.

Mortuus uses his voice more like he did at Funeral Mist, the guitar-tone is great, the drums aren't thàt overkill (they started to get annoying on PLAGUE ANGEL-great album too nonetheless), but the bass is quite inaudible (maybe because of the fact that it's a promo), ...

Get it, seriously. Then discuss it here.

Marduk is always an exciting thing with Mortuus in the band and I will most definitely be getting this album. So are Funeral Mist still alive and kicking? I really want to get the Salvation shirt, if Hells Headbangers still has it. One of the sweetest album covers I've seen.

Funeral Mist IS still active, but put on hold a bit. I heard that Emil would be drumming on the next album, but I pray to Him that that's false. The drums on Salvation are fantastic, the drums, together with Mortuus' vocals make the song Across the Qlipoth explode

This Marduk album is very different, but still: get it.

And for those intrested: already working on tabs

La Grande Danse still was their most intelligent work, best imo.

A very good album. They needed to have some variety to their shit after Panzer Division. I liked Panzer Division, but if they released another one of those it'd have been overkill.

I've been listening to it for days, and it doesn't wear off. You wouldn't beliéve how relieving it is to discover that your favourite band (or at least one of your favourite bands) doesn't start sucking after 15 years. This may in fact be their best album to date.

Brilliant.

Well, I'm downloading it right now, although I'll still buy it. I've bought every other Marduk release and this will be no exception, unless I totally can't stand it or something, but from all accounts it rules.

Holy fuck, this is the best thing they've ever come up with.
