question about a keyboard + fruity loops (or any program like it)

I have a keyboard (A casio WK3200) and I want to know if theres anyway I can get it to communicate to a program like fruity loops. Because I hate doing music on the computer without actually playing it.

the keyboard has a midi in/out but no usb. if I get a usb to midi thing would it work?

Yes it will work as long as the MIDI to USB converter you get comes with some kind of drivers.

did it work?? i have an old yamaha drum pad module with MIDI in and out but no USB as well. i might try the same thing, to use it to trigger samples. also, if you just want to use a keyboard to control the soft-synths in Fruity Loops, then you could pick up a usb midi controller ..they're cheap, like around $100.
